Providing excellent clinical care and customer service in a friendly and warm environment to children, teens and adults since 2000.
Hello! I am a licensed clinical psychologist in private practice in Mt. Pleasant who focuses on providing evidence based treatment services to children, adolescents, adults and families. I am trained in behavioral and cognitive-behavioral therapy and work with my clients to develop the skills that will assist them in decreasing distress and help them in reaching their potential.
I graduated with my doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1997. After completing my internship year at the Medical University of South Carolina, I completed a National Institute of Mental Health funded post-doctoral fellowship at the National Crime Victims Center at MUSC. Subsequently, I was a faculty member in the Department of Psychiatry at MUSC where I conducted research and directed a summer camp for children with ADHD and associated difficulties. Although I remain as an adjunct faculty member at MUSC, in 2000 I left my full time position to enter into private practice.
I feel fortunate to have a career that I absolutely love. Whether helping children face their anxious fears, assisting parents in developing strategies that work with THEIR child or supporting families and adults through life difficulties, I am honored to be part of the process and transition.
When not at work, you will find me managing a busy house of 6 (including 4 children). I may even find time to stop by bookclub, scout my favorite vintage store or grab a bite out with my husband of 23+ years.
